On October 25, 2024, representatives from the Roof Partners team joined in a meaningful day of service alongside BOMA Georgia and other professionals from the commercial real estate sector at the Decatur Cooperative Ministry (DCM). This event, part of the CRE CARES initiative, united dedicated volunteers who are passionate about making a positive impact in their communities.
The Mission Behind CRE CARES
CRE CARES is an inspiring program that connects the commercial real estate industry with nonprofit organizations in need. By harnessing the skills and resources of its participants, this initiative aims to create a real difference locally. In October 2024 the group of volunteers gathered to help the Decatur Cooperative Ministry specifically. DCM focuses on supporting families facing homelessness, providing essential assistance so they can achieve stability and build a secure future. The local ministry serves hundreds of families each year, helping them transition from crisis to stability.

Making a Meaningful Impact
The day got off to an early start, with volunteers arriving to begin projects designed to produce long-lasting effects. From early morning to noon, volunteers worked tirelessly on projects that make a meaningful impact, including landscaping, drainage improvements, irrigation setup, cleaning, organizing, roofing, and minor construction efforts.
It was a privilege to join in on this fun, meaningful, and practical, hands-on service project. Partnering with DCM allowed us to support their mission of helping families overcome homelessness and achieve stability. Together, our community strengthened the foundation of a nonprofit that provides safe, hopeful futures for so many in need.
Enjoy the highlights from this incredible day of service!
