Exploring the Iconic Krog Street Market with BOMA Georgia

On May 1, 2025, BOMA Georgia members had the privilege of touring Krog Street Market, a landmark property nestled in the heart of Atlanta’s Inman Park. Hosted by Laura Redman of Bridger Properties, the tour provided an in-depth look at the market’s adaptive reuse design, its thriving culinary scene, and its role in Atlanta’s commercial landscape.

Roof Partners at BOMA Georgia Krog Street Market Tour

Originally a 1920s warehouse, Krog Street Market has been transformed into a vibrant food hall and retail destination, featuring chef-driven restaurants, artisan shops, and communal gathering spaces. With its industrial-chic aesthetic, skylit interiors, and prime location along the Atlanta BeltLine, the market seamlessly blends history with modern innovation.

A little history of this location:
  • The Krog Street site was originally home to Atlanta Stove Works, a factory that produced pot-belly stoves and iron cookware starting in 1889. It thrived in the 1920s, exporting the famous 32 BOX stove, which fueled industrial expansion.
  • Before becoming Krog Street Market, the space at 99 Krog Street was used by Tyler Perry Studios until 2008, when the studio relocated to Southwest Atlanta
  • The transformation into Krog Street Market was part of a $70 million redevelopment project, incorporating historic elements while creating a modern marketplace

At Roof Partners, we understand the importance of preserving and maintaining iconic properties like Krog Street Market. As a trusted name in commercial roofing, we take pride in actively supporting the real estate community and ensuring that historic spaces continue to thrive.
